Betsy's thesis defense celebration!

pretty

Well...the day started with a red balloon weighted down by a jar of sprinkles & a giant iced coffee (Betsy loves all of these things. I was celebrating Betsy's thesis defense ((see the blog I follow "I Don't Have a Blog" for more info)).

After some chuckling with Prof. T and Prof. K, we went to eat at a "hole-in-the-wall" Indian buffet between a Donut Connection and a Payless Shoe Store.
It was great. Mango lassis, paneer makhani, some fried lentil thing in yogurt sauce, naan, and a fried sugar ball. MMmmmmm.

Anyway, we then went to Main Street Cupcakes in Hudson, Ohio. Betsy and I were both Main Street Cupcake virgins and we were both very excited. They had GREAT cupcakes....we both got a red velvet cupcake.

We then proceeded to explore the Hudson and nearby Peninsula-ish areas.  The best shop was The Land of Make Believe. We talked to the store's overseer and got to meet his daughter's hamster and pet rock.

We ended our travels in Hudson with a visit to Lulu, the freaky-eyed dog at The Hudson Hydrant Dog Boutique
